Daniel's character is so wildly unorthodox that few musicians are able to handle him. Having created an island for himself, Daniel's opinions, tastes, and style of playing are all uniquely his. While many bands considered his eccentricity to be overbearing, Gürschach proves it to be a blessing. When Daniel gets behind the kit, you know it's him playing. Although he seldom participates in writing new material to the band's opus, when asked, he can compose an entire song as if it's second nature to him.
